The journey of Dagne Dover began in 2013 when three women from diverse backgrounds came together with a shared vision. Despite their different experiences, they were united by a common drive to make a positive impact on people’s lives. Combining ambition, determination, and a bit of serendipity, they launched Dagne Dover with a clear mission: to create products that not only solve everyday problems but also bring joy and convenience to users. This passion for thoughtful design is at the core of everything we do, and our goal is to enhance the daily lives of everyone who uses our bags.

We prioritize the health and safety of our customers by ensuring that all our products undergo thorough AZO testing to guarantee that the dyes we use are free from harmful chemicals. This commitment to safe, non-toxic materials makes sure that our bags are not only functional and stylish but also safe for everyday use.

At Dagne Dover, animal welfare is also a key consideration. Although not everyone on our team follows a vegan lifestyle, we respect the importance of cruelty-free practices. Most of our products are now fully vegan, and we proudly offer a wide selection of bags that are completely cruelty-free, catering to conscious consumers who care about animal welfare.

In our ongoing efforts to reduce waste, we look for creative ways to repurpose materials and minimize our environmental impact. Scrap materials from production are reused for sampling and prototyping, which helps cut down on factory waste. We have also partnered with Archive to launch the Almost Vintage program, an initiative that allows customers to buy and sell pre-loved Dagne Dover bags. This program promotes sustainable fashion by ensuring that our products stay out of landfills while giving them a second life in the hands of new owners.

Recycling and reuse are integral parts of our sustainability efforts. We use Repreve® fabric, a recycled material made from plastic bottles, to create our linings and dust bags. This not only helps reduce water and energy consumption but also lowers greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional materials. Additionally, certain collections like the Nova Sling Bag and Puff collection are made entirely from this sustainable material. Items that are returned or excess inventory are donated to local charities, such as the Shelter Partnership of Los Angeles, further reducing waste and supporting communities in need.
